SUMMARY
Provides the accounting management team withaccurateandtimelyfinancial information by researching and analyzing accounts; ensures transactions meet regulatory and compliance requirements and works closely with the accounting team to support financial operations and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(Other duties may be assigned)
Perform full-cycle accounting duties including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger journal entries and financial close procedures.
Prepare and post standard andadjustingjournal entries as necessary to ensure completeness and accuracy of the general ledger.
Reconcile bank accounts credit card transactions and general ledger accountson a monthly basis.
Prepare andmaintainbalance sheet and income statement reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Assistwith monthly and year-end close processes including preparation of detailed financial reports.
Monitor andmaintainfixed assets depreciation schedules and related transactions.
Review investigate and correct errors or inconsistencies in transactional entries and financial reports for assigned cost centers.
Assistwith the development documentation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting controls.
Assistwith internal and external audit schedules and documentation requests.
Collaborate with senior accountants and accounting management to support financial operations and reporting requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
25years of progressive accounting experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write clear andaccuratereports business correspondence and procedural documentation. Ability to effectively communicate financial information and respond to questions from managers employees members customers and external stakeholders.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest and percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical accounting situations. Ability to develop review and interpret financial reports and data.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical accounting and financial problems and work with a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret and follow written verbal diagrammatic and schedule-based instructions.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to accuracy and detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multitask environment while managing competing priorities. Ability to communicate efficiently and professionally with accounting management internal partners and external vendors as needed.
Must be computer literate with working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet to learn and effectively use association-specific financial systems and accounting software.
