THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a BUDGET ANALYST (TITLE 32) Position Description Number D1572000 and is part of the IL 126 National Guard.
As a BUDGET ANALYST (TITLE 32) GSyou will accomplish budget formulation trend analyses and execution evaluation of federal funds provided by the ANG and other Department of Defense (DoD) components to the assigned unit.

Military Grades: Enlisted - Minimum Rank of E3 - Maximum Rank of E7
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess experience education or training involving skills in applying problem solving techniques; and skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing; ability to plan and organize work; competencies in analysis research writing and judgment; ability to follow established methods and procedures; use practical knowledge of the operations procedures and policies of specific program areas or functional assignment.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7 Level. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 Level MUST possess at least 1-year specialized experience education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level of GS-9: experience education or training of finance budget competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures; excellent understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements; must have experiences and training that demonstrates the abilities to follow directions to read retain and understand a variety of instructions regulations policies and procedures.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community student social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
