Lab Services Technician

Avantor is currently on the lookout for a motivated Lab Services Technician to join the team in Leiden. In this role you have diverse responsibilities such as maintaining lab equipment preparing chemical solutions and much more! This is a full-time position based at our customer site with location in Leiden in the Biosciences Parc. You will receive a contract for 1 year with the possibility of being transferred into a permanent contract after a positive evaluation. Working hours: Monday to Friday flexible starting hours between 7:30 8:30

The team

Together with your eight colleagues you are part of a supportive small team belonging to our department Lab and Production Services. This department within Avantor supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories globally in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

What were looking for

Education: MBO3 or 4 lab studies are preferred depending on experience

Experience: in a lab environment is a great asset; this can also be from a student job internship or practical courses

Preferred qualifications:

• Good basic skills in MS Office in particular with MS Excel

• Effective communication skills in English

• Outgoing customer minded and responsible

• Motivated detail oriented and a teampplayer

How you will thrive and create an impact

• Maintain calibrate and verify lab equipment such as PH-meters balances and pipets

• Clean the lab environment and lab equipment

• Create media solutions and buffers for QC testing in the lab

• Keep track of inventory and stock levels of lab materials
