At LION were looking for people who love working with technology and who enjoy working at our location in Tilburg as well as on-site at our clients locations. LION develops manufactures and maintains training solutions and personal protective equipment (PPE) for firefighters and other emergency responders enabling them to train safely and realistically in handling fire emergencies.
Who are you
In this role as a Service Technician you work independently and enjoy taking responsibility with the support of a strong home base. You are the point of contact for our clients on-site and conduct yourself in a professional and presentable manner. With your problem-solving skills and technical knowledge you tackle a wide range of issuesfrom providing support to resolving complex malfunctions. You quickly identify risks and know how to advise effectively on them.

We also sell PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) specializing in firefighting gear. We started as a family business a legacy that still defines our corporate culture. Our parent company is also a family business that has been in existence for 126 years. From our EMEA office we work with approximately 55 employees to ensure LIONs success.
The Department:
Our service department is part of TotalCare! TotalCare encompasses all service-related activities within LION: training installation service and supervision. These activities take place both at our location in Tilburg and on-site at the customers location. As a Service Technician you ensure that our customers receive excellent service. You will be involved in analyzing performing and coordinating warranty work as well as maintenance and repairs. You will do this for customers in the Netherlands and around the world.
What your work will look like:
- You will perform service or repair work on various products both in-house and on-site;
- You provide technical support and advice to both employees and customers;
- You oversee the installation and commissioning of new and/or refurbished products;
- You analyze problems both on-site and in the workshop and propose appropriate solutions;
- You report on work performed hours worked costs incurred and materials used (may be omitted).
You bring:
- A completed technical education at a minimum of the MBO level. Preferably in electrical engineering mechanical engineering mechatronics or installation engineering;
- A valid Class B(E) drivers license;
- Good command of the English language both spoken and written;
- A valid VCA certificate or the willingness to obtain one;
- You are flexible and willing to travel abroad frequently or periodically
