We are actively recruiting professionals with internal Audit experience in either Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand and who can start in early 2026.

As part of EY Risk Consulting you will be given the leading-edge tools and technology you need to develop your skills and contribute to impactful work supporting our clients across diverse industry sectors. EY Internal Audit professionals perform Internal Audit services for our clients across a broad range of industries including Government Health Education and Corporates including top 20 ASX listed entities. We help our clients to improve business process and control measures so that executives are confident key risks are being managed and decision making can occur with accuracy and at speed. The work we perform hasa genuine impact on the organisations we work with and their ability to achieve their strategic goals.

This role can be performed from any of our EY offices in Australia (Melbourne Sydney Brisbane and Perth) and Aotearoa New Zealand. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

At Consultant & Senior Consultant level you will:

• Deliver risk engagements from planning through to reporting across compliance financial operational and strategic risk areas ensuring high quality outcomes while coaching and developing junior team members.

• Apply your risk and sector-specific knowledge to assess clients processes and controls identify opportunities to mitigate risks and recommend improvements that enhance process efficiency effectiveness and business performance.
• Stay current with emerging industry trends regulatory changes and EY tools and apply this knowledge to enhance audit approaches and client solutions.

At Manager level you will:

• Manage a portfolio of clients becoming their trusted advisor by supporting them in understanding and managing key business risks and in the design and delivery of their internal audit plans (in both cosourced and outsourced environments).
• Lead teams to deliver risk engagements across compliance financial operational and strategic risk areas ensuring high quality outcomes while coaching and developing junior team members.
• Apply your risk and sector-specific knowledge to provide impactful practical recommendations that help clients manage risks and strengthen their internal control frameworks.
• Stay current with emerging industry trends regulatory changes and EY tools and apply this knowledge to enhance audit approaches and client solutions.

Eligibility skills and attributes for success

• Hold valid working rights for Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand (Citizens or Permanent Residents).A bachelors or masters degree or equivalent qualification.
• Professional accreditations and qualifications will also be considered favourably (CPA CISA CA CIA CISM CISSP CBCP CIPP certification within one year of hire)

• Proven ability to deliver engagements endtoend producing highquality work on time through strong analytical skills organisational capability and attention to detail. You take ownership of your work and see it through.

• Sound understanding of core business processes risks and controls with the ability to assess control design and operating effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.

• As a Senior Consultant you will have minimum 3 years experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
• As a Manager you will have minimum 6 years experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements.

Ideally youll have the skills and attributes below but dont worry if you dont tick all the boxes. Were interested in your aptitude attitude and willingness to learn.

• Team player with a collaborative mindset you want to contribute positively to team culture and help uplift and coach others.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication and skills including the ability to write clearly and concisely to produce highquality audit reports and workpapers.
• Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
