Job Description

Primary Purpose of the Role

To perform electrical maintenance and fault-finding on machinery equipment and buildings ensuring that all work meets company quality safety and operational standards.

Key Performance Areas

  • Repair and maintain press machinery to ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance in line with the maintenance schedule job cards and relevant work instructions.

  • Accurately complete timesheets and provide maintenance feedback to ensure reliable repair and downtime data submitting reports to the Team Leader.

  • Adhere strictly to company procedures work instructions and quality management systems at all times.

  • Actively participate in departmental mini-business initiatives as required by the company.

  • Ensure all work practices comply with company SHEQ policies procedures and work instructions.

Skills Required

Technical Skills

  • Press machinery repair and maintenance

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes

  • Basic knowledge of quality management systems

  • Strong problem-solving abilities


Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • NQF Level N6 qualification: Fitter Fitter & Turner Millwright or relevant Diploma

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Fitter or Millwright within an automotive manufacturing environment

  • Proven hydraulic and mechanical press experience
