Job Summary

Our multinational client who provides solutions to improve the operational activities within the educational sector is looking to hire a Human Resource & Operations Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Founder you will be responsible for overseeing all human resource and operational functions across the organization. This includes leading recruitment employee engagement performance management training and development compliance and administrative operations. You will also play a critical role in building and sustaining a high-performance culture aligned with the organizations core values and principles while ensuring efficient operational systems that support organizational growth across multiple African markets.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training and professional development initiatives including monthly knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Design and implement leadership mentorship and peer mentoring programs.
  • Develop and manage HR and operational budgets.
  • Develop employee recognition and reward programs to motivate and retain top performers.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and best practices.
  • Administer employee benefits including insurance leave management and staff welfare programs.
  • Manage employee relations including conflict resolution disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
  • Continuously refine recruitment strategies to improve hiring effectiveness and workforce diversity.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify hiring needs and improve recruitment processes.
  • Coordinate corporate events and conferences in collaboration with the Customer Acquisition Manager
  • Leverage social media and digital platforms to strengthen employer branding and talent acquisition.
  • Support initiatives that promote continuous learning and organizational culture development.
  • Plan and coordinate team-building activities and staff engagement initiatives.
  • Manage scheduling and coordination of leadership management and board meetings.
  • Oversee performance management processes including goal setting evaluations feedback and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee facilities management office maintenance vendor relationships and supply management.
  • Oversee a continuous recruitment selection and onboarding program to attract and retain high-quality talent.
  • Supervise administrative and facilities staff and monitor performance.
  • Manage internal communication including monthly employee newsletters and updates.



Requirements

  • Must have at least a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
  • Must have at least five (5) years experience in HR leadership roles with exposure to operations management.
  • Experience working in a Pan-African or multinational organisation is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing high-performance workplace cultures.
  • Possess excellent leadership interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently meet deadlines and exceed targets.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Possess a high level of professionalism organisation and time management skills.
  • Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) and the ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Possess the ability to learn quickly adapt and implement innovative HR practices.
  • Strong experience using social media platforms for recruitment and employer branding.
  • Ability to work occasionally work some weekends.
