Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and experienced Tube Inspection Technicians to perform advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspection of heat exchanger tubes boilers condensers and pressure equipment. The role involves ensuring asset integrity detecting defects and supporting maintenance and shutdown activities in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct tube inspection using advanced NDT techniques such as ECT MFL RFT IRIS and BCN
Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) including Shear Wave inspections
Inspect heat exchangers boilers condensers and pressure vessels
Identify corrosion erosion cracks pitting and wall thickness loss
Interpret inspection data and prepare detailed technical reports
Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment
Follow international inspection standards and client specifications
Coordinate with site engineers and maintenance teams
Support plant shutdowns turnarounds and maintenance projects
Ensure compliance with safety quality and environmental procedures
Maintain accurate documentation and inspection records
Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings
Essential Qualifications
Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Engineering or related field
ASNT Level II Certification (Mandatory)
Certification/Training in ECT / MFL / RFT / IRIS / BCN (Mandatory)
Valid UT Shear Wave Certification
Minimum 5 years of relevant tube inspection experience
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of NDT methods and inspection standards
Proficiency in tube inspection equipment and software
Ability to interpret signals charts and inspection data
Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in teams
Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
Good physical fitness for site work
Time management and reporting skills
Preferred Requirements
Experience in oil & gas power plants petrochemical refinery or heavy industries
Exposure to international inspection projects
Knowledge of ASME API ASTM and ISO standards
Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights
Valid safety certifications (if applicable)
Work Conditions
Site-based work in industrial environments
May require shift duty night work and overtime
Involves working during plant shutdowns and turnarounds
Requires use of PPE and strict safety compliance
Travel and relocation may be required
