Job Summary
ABOUT THE JOB:
The EHS Officer will be responsible for implementing and enforcing the companys Environment Health & Safety framework across all projects and operational sites. This role supports safe execution of telecom and engineering activities by ensuring regulatory compliance risk mitigation and a strong safety culture among field and office teams.
The successful candidate will work closely with project managers contractors and field technicians to proactively manage risks and promote safe work practices.
Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor EHS policies procedures and standards across all operational sites
Conduct site risk assessments hazard identification and safety inspections
Ensure compliance with local regulations statutory requirements and company safety guidelines
Lead toolbox talks safety briefings and EHS awareness training for staff and contractors
Investigate incidents accidents and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
Maintain accurate EHS documentation including permits reports audits and compliance records
Monitor use of PPE and enforce safe work practices at all times
Support emergency preparedness and response planning
Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into project planning and execution
Track safety KPIs and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
Conduct environmental monitoring and ensure proper waste management practices
Requirements
1. Bachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or related field
IOSH or equivalent professional certification preferred
3.2 years experience in EHS preferably within telecommunications construction or engineering projects
of safety regulations risk assessment techniques and incident investigation procedures
working in field/technical environments (towers fiber construction sites etc.)
report writing documentation and analytical skills
to conduct training and influence safe behaviors across teams
communication and stakeholder management skills
in MS Office applications
to travel frequently to project sites
