Role Overview
The Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will lead complex business and technical analysis initiatives for enterprise payment systems within Commercial Banking. This role partners closely with technology teams business stakeholders and external vendors to define document and validate requirements across multiple payment initiatives.
The BSA will support Visa SWIFT FED integrations data analysis system enhancements workflow design and end-to-end payment system optimization. The ideal candidate brings deep payments domain expertise strong SQL skills and proven leadership within cross-functional Agile teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Technical Analysis
Analyze and document complex business and technical requirements
Prepare data mappings technical specifications and process flows
Analyze payment transaction data to ensure accuracy integrity and zero data leakage
Develop in-depth knowledge of payment systems architecture and interdependencies
Translate user requirements into actionable technical specifications
Support project planning including scope estimates timelines and deliverables
Payments Domain Expertise
Apply expertise in Visa integration SWIFT FED and ISO 20022 messaging
Understand and validate end-to-end payment journeys
Recommend improvements to payment processing efficiency and risk mitigation
Requirements Documentation & User Experience
Create use cases SRS documents workflow diagrams and UML artifacts
Define multi-user workflows and operational procedures
Facilitate backlog grooming define acceptance criteria and write user stories
Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders technology teams and vendors
Prioritize requirements and manage change requests with PMs and Scrum Masters
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
Support system implementation planning with architecture and infrastructure teams
Testing Validation & Implementation Support
Perform functional integration and data validation testing
Conduct pre- and post-implementation reviews
Support production readiness and business continuity planning
Data Analysis & Process Improvement
Analyze and manipulate large datasets using Microsoft SQL Server 2019
Identify process improvements and ensure adherence to controls
Understand system design data dependencies and reusability opportunities

Essential Skills
Strong SQL expertise (Microsoft SQL Server 2019)
Deep knowledge of Visa payment integrations
Expertise in SWIFT FED and Commercial Payments
Strong understanding of ISO 20022 standards
Excellent analytical documentation and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills
8 years as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) (not just BA)
Experience in Contact Center Workforce Management or reporting systems
Strong communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Experience with system investigations estimations and large integrations
Ability to manage change control and requirement prioritization
Experience working closely with architects Product Owners and technical leads
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Experience (Years): 4-6 Essential Skills: Work with project teams throughout the organization to design implement and manage CDN infrastructure using Akamai to ensure high availability performance and scalability for customer facing applications and business processes. Handle multiple priorities and assignments with excellence and precision. Be a part of a 24/7/365 organization (some after hours support is expected as part of normal on-call rotation). Directly support line of business development teams provide guidance to them on implementation and changes for customer facing applications Develop and maintain security protocols and measures to protect CDN infrastructure from cyber threats. Monitor and analyze network performance identifying and resolving issues to optimize content delivery of critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Akamai CDN solutions with existing systems and applications. Collaborate with information security teams to implement DDoS protection strategies and other security measures in the CDN. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams regarding CDN and security best practices. Work closely with vendor and professional service teams on delivery related activities and strategy. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. OR similar work experience. Strong understanding of network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS DNS TCP/IP). Proven experience as a CDN Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on -depth knowledge of Content Delivery Network technologies including caching load balancing and content optimization. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience supporting 24/7/365 customer facing applications at enterprise scale. Awareness and experience with cybersecurity tools and practices such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Python Bash) a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH) are a plus but not required.
