About the Role:
The Cyber Security Consultant will support the secure design implementation and delivery of technology changes across multiple business areas with a focus on Unix-based platforms. This is a client-facing role responsible for identifying assessing and mitigating information security risks throughout the system development lifecycle while ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an information security authority for business and technology stakeholders
- Guide the secure design and implementation of systems and platforms
- Partner with delivery teams to identify track and validate security requirements
- Conduct security risk assessments and workshops during various SDLC phases
- Identify security gaps articulate risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies
- Ensure end-to-end security integrity and quality of solutions and releases
- Influence and contribute to information security roadmaps and solution designs
- Represent the Cyber Security Office (CSO) in cross-functional programs and meetings
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions risks and deliverables
- Ensure residual risks are mitigated in line with the organizations risk appetite
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of information security solution design across people process and technology
- Experience securing Unix-based platforms and environments
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards: ISO 27001 / 27002 NIST. PCI DSS
- Experience performing security assessments and control evaluations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in complex and unstructured environments
- Security-related certification (required)
- Strong analytical problem-solving and risk-assessment capabilities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a consulting or advisory role
- Understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and related technologies
- Knowledge of best practices for integration of security controls across platforms
- Experience influencing senior and executive stakeholders
