Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) is one of the largest global asset management organizations of any full-service securities firm with 45 offices serving clients in 19 countries. The MSIM Platforms Team takes a client centric approach to product design and innovation with a focus on an integrated client investment team and operational experience. Our approach exists at the intersection of business technology and operations and focuses on the needs of people the possibilities of technology (internal and external) and the requirements for business success. The Platforms Team actively collaborates with senior management investment teams technology operations legal compliance and risk to deliver solutions that improve client experience increase productivity drive cost efficiency and reduce risk.

The Platform Manager will manage enterprise-level initiatives and reengineering efforts that shape MSIMs client platform strategy and execution. This role demands a leader who can communicate effectively influence senior stakeholders define strategic priorities gather consensus build requirements partner with technology and implement and deliver transformative solutions across the addition this role will require tactical and strategic thought leadership focused on continual process and efficiency improvements.

You will partner with executive leadership investment teams technology operations legal compliance and risk to design and implement scalable solutions that advance MSIMs competitive edge.

Examples of key initiatives include improving front-to-back billing processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk streamlining tools for client onboarding and service enhancing client tools to increase engagement (online portals reporting etc.) partnering with investment teams to translate ideas into integrated platform solutions data quality enhancements and key client platform initiatives across the full client lifecycle.

Skills/Abilities

  • 7 years experience in financial services related field
  • A collaborative change driver with a sense of urgency and comfortable challenging the status quo.
  • Inquisitive creative thinker who is motivated to learn and driven to achieve exceptional results
  • Demonstrated track record of effective partnership with and translation between business technology and operations
  • Strong organizational skills ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure strong ability to influence cross functionally
  • Attention to detail high level of initiative resourcefulness and ability to demonstrate good business judgment
  • Self-motivated goal-oriented fast learning adaptable team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and interest in improving business technical and operational processes
  • Ability to make connections across multiple data sources
  • Bachelors degree

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150000 and $150000 per year at the commencement of employment. However base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package which depending on the position may also include commission earnings incentive compensation discretionary bonuses other short and long-term incentive packages and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
