About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who is hungry coachable and ready to grow. Youll work side-by-side with the team help run daily operations and develop into a future store leader. We value urgency attitude and effort more than titles or years on a résumé.
This role includes a required paid training program lasting approximately eight weeks including time at an established Jersey Mikes location in Milford Massachusetts (128 Medway Rd #7 Milford MA 01757). The Somerville Assembly Row location is currently planned to open in early May. Training schedule and details will be provided in advance and full participation in training is required prior to store opening.
Pay
Competitive hourly base pay plus tips. Tips currently average approximately $4 per hour but may vary by shift and volume. Overtime is paid in accordance with Massachusetts law.
What Youll Be Doing
- Lead shifts in a fast-paced high-volume environment
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Prepare food including slicing grilling and sandwich assembly to Jersey Mikes standards
- Maintain speed accuracy and food quality during busy periods
- Coach and support team members on the floor
- Ensure food safety sanitation and cleanliness standards are met
- Handle cash drawers and basic shift paperwork
- Support training scheduling assistance and daily team execution
- Resolve guest concerns and deliver strong customer experiences
- Assist with inventory prep and waste control
- Maintain a positive energetic hands-on leadership presence
- Strong work ethic and a natural sense of urgency
- Comfortable being on your feet and working hands-on throughout your shift
- Leadership mindset from food service retail athletics military or another fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn systems and accept coaching
- Ability to stay focused and decisive during rushes
- Reliable punctual and accountable
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Availability for weekends and holidays
Previous management experience is helpful but not required. We are open to training the right person who wants to grow.
