Technician General Chemistry

Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Technician to join our General Chemistry team based at our Auckland laboratory.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that sample tests are carried out using the correct methods within the agreed time frames. You will have the advantage of learning on the job gaining invaluable experience.
Your key duties will involve;
- Completing sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)
- Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures
- Ensuring all relevant records are kept up to date at all times
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Participate and contribute to working safely
- Be actively involved in all the day to day improvement activities
Flexibility to work additional days or overtime would be ideal as our laboratory operates 7 days a week. You will be required to work one weekend day.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a focus on Chemistry or Food Science.
- You can hit the ground running so those with direct experience in Chemistry will be at an advantage.
- Previous work experience in a fast paced and high pressure environment will also be beneficial to your success in getting this role.
- Team player that can remain focused while doing repetitive tasks and cope with regularly changing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with fantastic time management skills will see you do well in the AsureQuality environment.
