This position is located in Western District of Louisiana Shreveport LA.
The selectee of this position serves as a Administrative Officer. You will be responsible for planning implementing and directing District administrative programs in support of the mission of the United States Marshals Service.
As a Administrative Officer at the GSlevel some of your typical work assignments may include:
Must pass a pre-employment security investigation and drug screening.
May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period.
May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period.

Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).

GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title series and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position you must demonstrate that you have the experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.
You may qualify at the GSlevel if you fulfill the following qualifications:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties successfully of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
1) Advising management on budgetary matters such as status of funds acquisition plans account shortfalls and/or financial regulation compliance.
2) Developing comprehensive administrative management plans to identify goals objectives administrative processes and deadlines.
3) Analyzing employees performance to include training plans career paths performance issues and rewards to meet changing conditions or individual requirement.
4) Providing advice on staffing and recruitment issues.
5) Applying a variety of purchasing regulations methods and procedures to acquire services and supplies using purchase orders blanket purchase agreements or fixed price negotiated contracts.
6) Supervising subordinate administrative staff.
