About the role

Base salary from $101445 per annum (plus super and overtime) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience

As a Service Connection Electrician at our Cambridge depot youll play a key role in delivering high-quality cost-effective construction and maintenance services across TasNetworks low voltage network. From installing new customer connections to supporting street lighting and metering works youll help ensure our customers are connected safely on time and to standard.

This is a hands-on role where safety customer service and teamwork are critical to success.

What youll do

  • Install LV services from overhead and underground networks including metering and street lighting works
  • Undertake construction and maintenance across ELV and LV (and HV where authorised)
  • Work safely in line with TasNetworks standards policies and procedures
  • Use and maintain tools plant and vehicles safely
  • Contribute to team activities while delivering quality work on time and to standard

About you

Youre a qualified electrician who takes pride in your work values safety and enjoys working directly with customers and crews. Youre reliable under pressure open to learning and keen to continuously improve how work gets done.

Youll bring:

  • Tasmanian Electrical Practitioners Licence
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
  • A sound knowledge of electrical industry standards and the metering code of practice
  • Strong safety focus and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to work efficiently adapt to change and manage competing priorities
  • Highly desirable licences: Elevating Work Platform (WP) Dogging (DG) Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) Medium or Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence
