The Air Imports Agent executes flawless operational performance productivity technicalexpertise excellent customer service and constantly driving efficiency supporting our Visionand Mission Statement making our promise real to all our customers.
Key Deliverables
- Proactively monitor the following key metrics to achieve the expected results:
- Data Quality
- District Excellence understanding and execution.
- EDE timely resolution (Within 5 Calendar Days)
General job responsibilities:
- Exemplify and Teach Our Culture Mission and Goals.
- Follow the 10 Critical Success Factor.
- Contribute to build healthy cross-functional relationship and work environment promoteteam spirit and cohesiveness in the department.
- Timely completion of 52-hour trainings per year (4.33 per month) and required trainingsassociated to the role.
- Own your self-development. Prepare follow-up and execute on your personal developmentgoals.
- Correct utilization of companys resources.
- Escalation of issues to immediate supervisor and/or manager or any other required teamwith the adequate expertise as example compliance accounting etc.
Air imports Agent job responsibilities:
- Understand Expeditors general procedures and quality expectations (District Excellence).
- Understand the Air Import process flow per Expeditors Operational Performance Standards(OPS) and always be in the lookout for better practices to improve operationalperformance efficiency and productivity.
- Operational Performance.
- OSD properly follow up.
- Support billing accuracy: CFIT
- Edoc timely updates and recordkeeping.
- Track and Trace Air imports files daily.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into Expeditors system per OperationalPerformance Standards (OPS).
- Understand and execute in accordance to air imports departments systems and tools including but not limited to:
- Air Import Lateral
- Air import workflow
- CFIT Import System
- EDOC electronic library
- Exp.o customs
- Exp.o GCI
- EDI
- All Air imports automated reports related to OPS OPA shipment processing andshipment status. (Refer to all available reports in AO Imports Automatic Internal Reports)
- Ensure the highest level of customer service.
- Ensure to utilize the most updated SOP execute accordingly.
- Ensure approved customers list is updated in a timely manner as part of the recognitionand set up of new and existing customers.
- Understand and support our service provider management processes and procedures.
- Ensure proper usage of service provider tools
- Maintain good relationships with all internal and external suppliers/service providers (BrokerAir lines trucking companies and others involved).
- Develop a professional relationship with all customers ensuring that all of their shipmentsare received on a timely manner.
- Keep customers properly and timely informed about the status of their shipments. Allcustomer request must be answered within one hour. In cases where the request cant befulfilled customer must be informed.
- Proactively interact with all customers providing professional advice and/or suggestions todifferent alternatives that will facilitate shipment processing.
- Proactively provide customer service to assigned broker (internal/external) for a timelycompletion of applicable customs processes.
- Understand and execute according to all compliance requirements at all times. Followingapplicable regulations for Expeditors and US government including but not limited to: TradePartners Agencies.
Finance
- Understand and follow credit policy 100% of the time.
- Service Provider timely Payments (ACH).
- DAP/DDP Policy (FDS).
- Incoterms (Prepaid / Collect).
- Timely and correctly bill all processed entries update CFIT notes with any exceptions.
- Understand all accounting processes and reports and its impact. (BNP AR AP AJAX etc.)
- Monitor and constantly work on preventing monetary losses.
Security Health and Safety
Qualifications :
To be the most effective in this position we are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Degree: Bachelors degree in Import/Export International Trade or equivalent.(preferred)
- 1 year of experience in similar position or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
- Understanding of air import process(Preferred).
- Hazardous materials certification (Preferred).
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills ability to communicate at all levels written and oral communication and presentations.
- Customer Satisfaction oriented.
- Attention to detail oriented.
- Self-driven personality.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new programs and tools including knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
- English and Spanish fluency.
