We are looking for an Electrical EIT to support our buildings group in the Edmonton Office. Our team is highly collaborative and exceptionally motivated to continue to develop a fast growing section of the organization. This role will be responsible for working within our local electrical team and designing project across various sectors such as commercial institutional educational and healthcare while under the guidance of a senior engineer.
You will be able to work in a hybrid mode from the Edmonton
Primary Responsibilities
- Design drafting and modelling of electrical systems for buildings including lighting lighting controls power distribution communication security and fire alarm.
- Working with engineers to ensure that design aspects have been incorporated.
- Coordination with other building disciplines.
- Design calculations under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
- Site visits to review existing site conditions or for documentation of ongoing construction projects.
- Continued professional development through participation in internal and external learning opportunities.
Qualifications :
- University degree in electrical engineering
- Eligible to registry with APEGA as an EIT
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Microsoft Office tools including Excel Word Project and PowerPoint. REVIT is an asset
- Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong project management skills
- Analytical thorough resourceful and detail-oriented
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and self starter
- Valid Canadian drivers license.
