About The Role:

Libraries work best when the details are done for a Library Technicianwho enjoys caring for collections and understands how thoughtful behind the scenes work supports a welcoming and inclusive experience for our community.

This is a hands-on role where detail matters. Youll help keep collections accessible support customers across our libraries and contribute to work that keeps our services running smoothly.

About You:

You have a genuine interest in library collections and understand the vital role technical and behind-the-scenes work plays in creating positive customer experiences.

You bring care accuracy and organisation to your work and enjoy contributing to well-maintained accessible collections. Comfortable moving between technical tasks and public-facing service you take pride in doing things well and supporting library users in a friendly professional way.

In this role you will:

  • Catalogue process andmaintainlibrarymaterialsso collections areaccurateorganised and easy to discover including digital and emerging formats.
  • Support the quality and integrity of collection data across shared library systems and networks.
  • Assistcustomers at the frontline helping them access collections technologies services and spaces in a friendly and respectful way.
  • Contribute to collection maintenance inventory activities and safe welcoming library environments.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues showing initiative problem-solving skills and a positive approach to teamwork.

About Our Team:

Join our libraries team to connect discover and inspire our community every day. The team continues to grow across two new community hubs that host a wealth of books entertainment events and increasing resources for all ages. Join a passionate team with a love for literacy and all things learning.

The Detail:

The position is offered on a part-time fixed-term basis working 37.5 hours per fortnight (0.5FTE) until 2 August 2026 and is classified at Level 3 with a starting salary of $85929 per annum (pro-rata) Super Annual Leave Loading.

A current unprohibited Working with Children Check must be maintained for the duration of the employment period in this prescribed position.
