Job Summary
Summary
This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC position description Dwithin the 177th MXS of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32 Excepted Service position.
This technician position serves as a Pneudraulic Svstem Mechanic within a fuel systems shop responsible for inspection repair and maintenance of aircraft fuel cells water injection entidetonant (ADI) and inflight refueling systems.
As an AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC WGyou will:
- Perform leak checks of aircraft fuel systems by visual inspection or by removal of panels
- Repair reassemble and install fuel system components
- Perform operational and functional checks to insure proper operation
- Participate in various types of readiness evaluations
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Title 32 Dual-Status Positions:
Military Grade:
Min: A1C/E-3 and Max: TSgt/E-6
Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state in their resumes their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade
Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within 1(One) Year of appointment.
Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Compatible Military Assignments
Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a *military unit* compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position.
*Military Unit* -- The unit by which the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee; or a unit that the individual is employed as a Military Technician (Dual Status) employee to support. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1)
Qualifications
General Experience:
Experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals equipment specifications and test calibration procedures in performing the work.
Specialized Experience:
Must at least 18 months of specialized experience which demonstrates basic electrical and mechanical principles.
- Fabricating fuel oil and vacuum hose lines
- Servicing maintaining disassembling assembling repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Diagnosing trouble and determining remedies
- Mechanic repairs using hand tools and test equipment
- Demonstrating the ability to interpret technical manuals specifications and publications
