In addition to the Basic Requirements (see Education section) in order to qualify for the INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST GS position your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience utilizing industrial hygiene concepts principles and practices applicable to the full range of occupational health concerned with repair/overhaul of ships and other related industrial activities.
* Experience recognizing and evaluating health hazards to incorporate adequate health hazard controls into work procedures for work that impacts on the health and efficiency of employees.
* Experience providing the full range of duties and serving as subject matter expert for the implementation of Industrial Hygiene programs practices.
* Experience administering occupational safety and health programs and maintaining qualifications in the performance of industrial hygiene duties such as lead and asbestos bulk sampling.
