QC Gas Sampling Analyst

• Sampling and testing of compressed gas systems
• Sampling and testing of compressed gas tankers
• Working in a cleanroom environment dispensing raw materials and performing inspection of containers
• Receiving handling and disposing of samples
• Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices before use.
• Accurately records test results and reports any quality anomalies
• Maintains laboratory supplies and performs laboratory housekeeping as assigned
• Ensures excellent customer service to clients
• Participates in required training activities
• Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements
• Potential cross-training opportunity with testing including pH Conductivity Nitrate identification Total Organic Carbon and Appearance

This position is an indoor lab-based position working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:

• No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup false lashes spray tans etc) are permitted and must be removed prior to entry
• Nails must be kept short trimmed and unadorned (no nail polish rhinestones etc)
• No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)
• Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.

Qualifications :

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

• Strong computer and organizational skills 
• Fosters a healthy trusting environment and champions transparency and communication
• GMP biopharmaceutical or other related industry experience
• Familiarity with LIMS

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelors degree in chemistry or other science-related degree concentration orequivalent directly related experience 
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship 

Additional Information :

The position is full-time Monday through Friday with the hours of 8am- 4pm with overtime as needed.  Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer New York are encouraged to apply.
