Overview

Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Principal Scrum Master to guide cross-functional teams through complex enterprise initiatives. This senior-level role requires 15 years of experience and combines deep expertise in Scrum frameworks with practical knowledge of traditional project management approaches. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic advisor coaching teams and leadership on agile transformation and hybrid delivery models.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Leadership: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies for multiple high-performing teams including sprint planning daily stand-ups retrospectives and reviews
Coaching & Mentoring: Coach teams Product Owners and stakeholders on Agile principles and mindset transformation
Enterprise Scaling: Champion agile adoption and scaling frameworks (SAFe LeSS ) for enterprise-wide initiatives
Hybrid Methodology: Assess project complexity and organizational readiness to determine optimal delivery approaches combining Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Strategic Advisory: Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement practices and methodology optimization

Requirements

15 years of IT Project/Program Management experience
Advanced Scrum Master certification (CSM PSM II or equivalent)
Proven experience with enterprise agile scaling frameworks (SAFe LeSS )
Strong background in both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies
Experience coaching and mentoring teams in agile transformation
Excellent facilitation and communication skills
Energy or utilities industry experience preferred
