Summary:
The Tenant and Landlord Engagement Officer will play a key role within the Residential Environmental Health Team acting as a vital link between tenants landlords and key stakeholders. The postholder will support the delivery of safe secure and well-managed private rented housing by providing advice leading engagement activities and supporting the councils property licensing programme.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of the landlord and tenant advisory service providing clear and timely advice on rights responsibilities and legal requirements
- Organise and deliver meetings drop-in sessions forums and briefings for internal and external stakeholders
- Manage and develop the Landlords Forum and other engagement initiatives
- Design and implement engagement strategies to improve awareness of tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities
- Develop and deliver campaigns on property licensing renters rights and landlord obligations
- Maintain and manage digital content for private rented housing web pages
Qualification:
- A degree or level 6 qualification in a relevant field or extensive practical experience landlord and tenant engagement activities
Essentials:
- Experience providing advice to landlords and tenants on legal rights and obligations
- Strong knowledge of housing legislation including Housing Acts and renters legislation
- Experience planning and delivering stakeholder engagement events

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
