Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is an 11-16 academy based in the large friendly Derbyshire town of Chesterfield near Derby and Sheffield.

The Art and Design department at Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is situated beside our beautiful quad a tranquil space that in the summer months is home to ducks and their ducklings. This inspiring natural setting provides a rich source of stimulus for our students particularly within their Art and Photography GCSE projects. Both subjects are highly popular options and students who choose them do so with high expectations and a strong desire to succeed.

This is a growing and ambitious department making it an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Head of Department to develop their leadership skills and make a meaningful impact within a creative and valued area of the school. Housed within a Grade II listed building the Art department benefits from recently modernised surrounding spaces thoughtfully designed to showcase our students artwork. The department continues to benefit from ongoing investment reflecting the schools commitment to the arts.

As a school we work closely with our neighbouring academy within the same trust fostering excellence high expectations and a strong sense of community. As Head of Art and Photography you will be fully supported to achieve the very best outcomes for our students whether you are an aspiring leader or an experienced practitioner seeking your next challenge..
