As a Senior Associate in our Financial Services Consulting practice at PwC you will possess a broad understanding of various aspects of operations consulting. You will provide comprehensive guidance and support to clients in optimizing operational efficiency and effectiveness. Working in this area you will analyze client needs develop operational solutions and offer recommendations tailored to specific business requirements. For this role we are looking to grow our team focused on the Insurance sector (P&C Life Group Benefits / Retirement Wealth Management) which includes working with insurance carriers distributors and partners.

As asenior associate in the Insuranceteam forFinancialServicesConsultingyoullworkwith a dedicated groupof problem solvers helping todesignsolutionsfor complexbusiness issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Understand the clients business and technology strategy and operations through research interviewsformulatingand testing hypotheses

  • Conducting and managing market research and quantitative and qualitative analyses including the synthesis of complex data into meaningful insights

  • Deliver client projects on time and within budget exceeding client expectations through outstanding team performance and stakeholder management

  • Work directly with clients to integrate People Process and Technology (Data) components into meaningfulvalue-addedsolutions

  • Build andmaintaineffectivetrustingand collaborative client relationships at multiple levels

  • Collaborate with team members at various levels to lead and develop compelling client proposals white papers thought leadership and pointsof view describing the business challenge and proposed business and technology solutions scoperisksand dependencies

  • Contributeto building a strong and sustainable PwC culture through effective employee engagement mentoring and coaching team members throughtimely meaningful verbal and written feedback

  • Exemplifyingthe value created by diverse teams and can adapt to a variety of working styles

Experiences and skillsyoulluse to solve

  • Must haveworkingexperience withinconsulting servicesor strategic projects within a financial services organization

  • Understanding ofthe insuranceindustryinsuranceproducts anddistributionconsidered an asset

  • Hands on exposure toinsurancefunctions including sales underwriting claims customer administrationand reportingconsidered an asset

  • Experience designing targetoperatingmodels assessing business capabilities and building business cases considereda very strongasset

  • Experience within Technology and Data strategy and transformationactivitiesincluding familiaritywithTechnology Architectureautomation Datamanagement

  • Familiarity with technology concepts including architecture (e.g.business technical logical data) data strategy governance and management systems/applications (e.g.trade booking investment book of record collateral management risk management)

  • Interest in emerging trendsrelated toinsurance and financial services with the ability to multitask and manage ambiguity as you navigate changes to requests and tight timelines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; self-motivatedwith a passion for client work andteam work.

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives

The salary range for this position is $58400 - $97500. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada base salary is determined by your skills experience qualifications and work addition to base salary eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
