Job Summary

Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting a Summer School- CALM Coordinator/Teacher

Open to:Internal and external candidates who are qualifiedteachers

The duration of summer school is July 6 to July 30 2026 with Session 1: July 6 - 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Session 2: July 20 -30 with class times from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The teacher will be compensated for 95 hours of instruction (47.5 hours per Session) and 30 hours of preparation at a rate of $63.00per hour. These courses may be separate courses or combined course offerings depending on enrollment.

Candidates must have previous or related experience teaching this course.

  • Preparation of materials for in person and online CALM classes.
  • Responsible for the organization of online CALM program to ensure alignment of materials.
  • Excellent knowledge of BrightSpace platform for course delivery.
  • Collaboration with PE Lead Facilitator.
  • Scheduling presentations for in person CALM classes.

Classes will be held in person. Location to be determined.

This position is conditional on sufficient student registrations.

The successful candidate(s) must have or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
