Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist/Buyer who will be a critical member of the sourcing team and will be one of the faces of an ever-growing supplier network. This new role will support overall company growth and while day-to-day sourcing tasks may vary overall responsibility is to work with the Operations Team to ensure customer needs are met. This is an onsite permanent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist procurement activities for all business segments supporting the team with contract reviews cost and inventory management and ensuring on-time delivery and quality of product
Create execute and update purchase and work orders consistent with operational/contractual requirements and to maintain reliable data/ETAs
Oversee inventory production scheduling and reporting of delays
Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy and timely payments to suppliers
Track backorders and work with Sourcing team to mitigate/prevent future stock outs
Perform data analysis and make recommendations for new improvements within the supply chain and operations team.
Work cross-functionally on new product introductions to ensure alignment on project deliverables (cost quality inventory delivery)

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in supply chain management Operations Management General Business 5 years of relevant work experience
Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Excel
NetSuite experience a bonus
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Buyer experience preferred but not required
