Recruiting for Two (2) experienced highly qualified Board Certified/Board Eligible physician for the Primary Care Clinic at the Wisconsin Rapids Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). The primary care clinic hours of operation at Wisconsin Rapids CBOC are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Federal holidays are excluded from normal clinic hours of operation. The Chief of Primary Care will provide the work assignments for this physician and will provide professional direction. It is anticipated that the physician will work the majority of the time at the Wisconsin Rapids CBOC however the VA reses the right to assign work at sites such as Tomah Lacrosse or Wausau as staffing changes occur or workloads dictates.
The physician will be granted clinical privileges for the VA based on his/her specific expertise. Work will commence immediately upon completion of orientation. The physician will be required to work cooperatively with other physicians advanced practice nurses nurse practitioners physician assistants registered nurses administrative staff and a variety of allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive health care services to veteran patients.
The medical center utilizes a computerized medical record system. The physician must be familiar with personal computers have adequate keyboard skills to perform all data entry (progress notes and physician orders history and physicals discharge summaries) and be able to navigate through windows based computer programs. Training on the computerized medical record system will be provided by the medical center.

Pay: Competitive salary annual performance bonus regular salary increases

Contract Buy Out Program: This position may be eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP) which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum agreements loan repayments sign-on bonus contracts Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service (minimum 4 years). This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval award amount (up to $200000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.
