Our partner Bryant Staffing Solutions is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner specializing in neonatal intensive care for a heathcare facility in Spokane Washington. This role involves working closely with physicians and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive respiratory care for neonatal patients.
The practitioner will be responsible for assessing patient needs implementing respiratory therapy treatments and supporting critical care interventions. This position requires proficiency in advanced respiratory equipment and the ability to contribute to patient care planning in a collaborative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments to neonatal patients in a NICU setting
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement care plans
- Operate and maintain ventilators and other advanced respiratory support equipment
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor response to therapy
- Assist in emergency procedures including resuscitation efforts
- Perform diagnostic testing and administer oxygen therapy
- Ensure compliance with department protocols and clinical standards
Required Qualifications
- Education meeting eligibility for respiratory care licensure
- Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner license (required at hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (required at hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Familiarity with advanced ventilatory support systems and neonatal respiratory care
