The Smithsonian Institution is the worlds largest museum education and research complex with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the office of Facilities Management and Reliability (OFMR).
The Associate Director Facilities Sustainability and Resilience serves as the sustainability manager for OFMR and is responsible for developing establishing overseeing and administering a comprehensive sustainability program in accordance with agency policy.

Experience:You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal Service.For this position specialized experience is defined asdeveloping implementing and managing sustainability programs. Collaborating with leadership stakeholders and government agencies to establish sustainability goals policies and performance measures. Overseeing and managing sustainability projects including budget development and formulation.

Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures anyindividual who is currently holding or who has held within the previous 52 weeks a GeneralSchedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted servicemust meet time-in-grade requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of thegrade for which you are applying).
