Truck Loader

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Truck Loader position has the responsibility to work safely maintain a positive attitude be respectful to all and focus efforts and abilities towards maintaining quality product during the shipping process. This position is responsible for loading finished boats motors and trailers on various types of transportation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Places boats and motors on the trailers by operating a powered lift truck

• Assists and prepares the transport trailers for loading by placing and assembling steel rails and components in the proper configuration for the type and mix of boats being loaded

• Straps and ties down the boats motors and accessories by using various types of strapping and tie down equipment

• Unloads trailers shipped from the trailer manufacturing plant and place in a pre-determined location in the yard by use of a power lift truck

• Completes all assigned or team duties in a timely manner

• Keeps work area clean safe and hazard free

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required:High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Certificate(s) or License(s): Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license - Preferred Class E license.

• Ongoing verification of driving eligibility will be conducted to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

• Must be at least 21 years old to qualify for this position.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:

• Operation of forklift truck tractor or ability for rapid mental and muscular motor vehicles

• coordination simultaneously

• Operate hoist

• Valid chauffeurs license

• Ability to distinguish numbers and written instructions

• Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
