Purpose and Scope
This position is responsible for professional instructions during Spring school designed to provide academic social physical and skills development for students in specific grades/subject areas to prepare them to be successful citizens and workers in the 21st century.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in Education and an endorsement in the grade/subject taught with a valid Tennessee certificate.
Governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated and the collective bargaining agreement.
The following special conditions are required: Commitment for the entire period of Spring school and attendance at the Spring School graduation. May involve missing some district training opportunities. Attendance at ALL preparatory planning sessions and periodic administrative meetings. Availability prior to the end of the regular school assignment contract to participate in Spring school setup and preparation. Availability for Spring school closeout operations which may occur after the new academic year contract has started.

Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelors Degree 4 years plus required years of experience.
Masters Degree 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Masters degrees are required years for Bachelors Degrees must be included.
