Description1. Position Overview
Responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and support ofcomputer hardware and software at the Aphena Pharma Solutions Easton MD
location. Maintains all Business Units IT systems including the local areanetwork servers database systems user platforms and applications. Advises
management on issues related to the use of IT that may impact business objectives.
2. Job Tasks
2.1 Responsible for the deployment maintenance technical support anddocumentation of IT systems.
2.2 Plans and completes various IT related projects to achieve system improvements.
2.3 Assists users with new and existing applications.
2.4 Plans implements and monitors system backup and recovery procedures.
2.5 Plans and implements computer systems security procedures.
2.6 Plans and controls Business Units information systems to ensure that they areconsistent with the Companys business plan.
2.7 Plans for and maintains integration with corporate-wide IT systems.
2.8 Ensures compliance with all software licensing requirements.
2.9 Manages crisis situations that may involve complex technical hardware or softwareproblems.
2.10 Prioritizes tasks taking into consideration the relative impact to business objectives.
2.11 Adheres to cGMP requirements and other relevant policies laws rules andregulations.
2.12 Participates in and completes all company-required training.
2.13 Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
2.14 Maintains knowledge of developments in computer systems and hardware andincorporates new developments into the future systems of the Business Unit.
2.15 Maintain inventories of computer hardware and software licenses.
2.16 Maintain documentation of hardware and software installations and configurations.
3. Physical Requirements/Mental Demands
3.1 Normal vision and hearing.
3.2 A mixture of sedentary work and periods of light work as required.
3.3 Exposure to inside office manufacturing and warehousing environments.
3.4 Oral and written communication: associate must be able to receive understand andcommunicate verbal and written instructions.
3.5 Push/pull/lift/carry up to approx. 50 lb. on a regular basis and more than 50 lb. onan occasional basis to obtain/deliver work related materials and equipment from/tovarious locations.
3.6 Excellent overall technical background is required with a strong understanding ofMicrosoft technologies in a business environment.
3.7 Well-organized and detail oriented professional.
3.8 Communicates in an effective and courteous manner with different types of peopleincluding technical non-technical and managerial associates.
3.9 Individual must be a highly motivated self-starting team player that cansuccessfully manage multiple priorities in a timely fashion with a minimum of
supervision.
3.10 Ability to manage complex technical projects.
3.11 Highly developed interpersonal skills; proven ability to work with and throughpeople.
3.12 Ability to read comprehend analyze and interpret technical documentation.
3.13 Ability to write reports and procedural documentation.
3.14 Ability to express oneself logically and effectively both verbally and in writing.
3.15 Ability to troubleshoot and develop effective and efficient solutions to systemproblems in a timely manner.
3.16 Provide computer related support and instruction to non-technical system userswithout displaying frustration or ridicule.
3.17 Demonstrated self-motivation to continually improve personal IT knowledge/skills.
Qualifications4. Qualifications
4.1 Bachelors degree in an IT discipline and/or five years of related experience.
4.2 Multi-discipline IT experience is preferred from such areas as user support
hardware maintenance networking operations systems administration.
