Job Summary

A high-performing and inclusive 1118 secondary school in Loughborough is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of French to join its successful Modern Foreign Languages department. This is a full-time permanent opportunity in a school where languages are highly valued and form a key part of the wider curriculum.

The Role

You will teach French across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach KS5 for candidates with appropriate experience. The curriculum is carefully planned to build confidence in listening speaking reading and writing with a strong emphasis on grammatical accuracy and cultural understanding.

At Key Stage 3 lessons focus on developing solid foundations in phonics vocabulary and sentence structure. Students are encouraged to speak French regularly in a supportive structured environment helping to build confidence early on.

At GCSE the departments approach combines clear exam preparation with engaging meaningful content. Lessons balance language skills with cultural topics enabling students to apply their knowledge confidently in assessments.
