Job Summary

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Materials Coordinator at Ventia you will play a vital role in supporting our Rig and Wells operations across Australia. This position goes beyond obtaining quotes and processing requisitions it requires the ability to understand interpret and source the correct parts and products needed to keep our operations running efficiently while ensuring alignment with all relevant policies and standards.

This role is based in our Toowoomba office working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing requisitions submitted by internal stakeholders
  • Obtaining quotes from a large database of approved vendors
  • Interpreting parts and product requirements
  • Creating and issuing Purchase Orders
  • Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
  • Collating entering and maintaining accurate data
  • Following up on queries with internal teams and departments
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers and building strong working relationships

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

This role is well suited to individuals with transferable skills from backgrounds such as parts interpreting warehousing sales estimating or roles involving stock management. To be successful you will have:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel and Outlook
  • A strong level of computer literacy
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
