Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Products in Birmingham AL is seeking candidates for the Shipping Dispatcher positoin. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Setup and coordinate NTP-Birmingham deliveries with customers and carriers.
- Work with Customer Service Production and Warehouse teams to maintain an up-to-date accurate and balanced shipping schedule.
- Ensure Carriers are Nucor Master Carriers and assist Production Control Supervisor with Outside Carrier recruitment.
- Ensure that all shipping documents are current and comply with all Federal and Company requirements.
- Reconcile production and shipping records to ensure complete shipment of materials.
- Maintain up-to-date records for Shipping.
- Resolve carrier claims
- Participate as needed with freight rate negotiations.
- All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years dispatching or in a related field
- Must have a strong work ethic.
- Able to work a flexible work schedule.
- Values safety and will follow all safe work procedures.
- Able to work in a diverse work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a shipping and logistics role.
