Job Summary

Job Title: Senior Software Configuration/Release Engineer
Location: Local candidates only

Job Description:
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will manage AWS environments implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and ensure secure compliant and optimized cloud operations. This role involves automation release engineering backup and patch management certificate administration and team guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop implement and maintain configuration management processes policies and standards for AWS environments
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for EC2 S3 RDS IAM ACM and other AWS services
Support release pipelines using AWS Code Commit Code Build CodeDeploy and CodePipeline
Design and maintain automated cloud backup solutions and patching workflows to ensure compliance and security
Manage SSL/TLS certificates ensuring installation renewal rotation and validation
Conduct periodic audits of configurations patches backups and certificates; implement improvements
Maintain detailed documentation and provide training/guidance on Terraform AWS best practices backup patching and certificate management
Collaborate with DevOps and technical teams to optimize cloud infrastructure and deployments

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field; or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in configuration management and cloud infrastructure
Proficiency with Terraform and IaC methodologies
Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2 S3 RDS IAM ACM
Experience with cloud backup solutions automated patching and certificate management
Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills
Self-motivated collaborative and organized

Preferred Qualifications:

Scripting experience: Python Bash or PowerShell for automation
AWS and/or Terraform Certifications
Experience in government or public sector environments
Vendor oversight or project management experience
Familiarity with Agile delivery tools and organizational change management (OCM)
