The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for a Corporate Accountant
to support our Finance team. The Corporate Accountant is accountable for the timely and accurate execution of day to day accounting tasks including prepearation and posting of journal entries and reconciling key accounts. The work in this role will be performed from our Edmonton AB office.
Nuna is the largest Inuit owned heavy civil construction earthworks and mine construction contractor in Canada.

Responsibilities
Some Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy of all work.
- Balance and reconcile daily cash receipts.
- Prepare bank reconciliations including all supporting documentation
- Reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
- Accounting and invoicing for group insurance.
- Send out the MasterCard transactions for coding to all card holders
- Assist Accounting Manager with their initiatives.
- Interact professionally with other departments.
- Produce clear concise verbal and written communications.
- Meet deadlines (ex: Daily / Month End).
- Recommend improvements / efficiencies to processes.
- Other office duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Work Experience:
- Minimum one (1) year in an office environment is preferred.
Education:
- High school diploma / GED required.
- Education in Accounting from a recognized post-secondary facility is required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Strong accounting skills.
- Applies company policies and procedures in a consistent and conscientious manner.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Detailed accurate and results-oriented self-starter.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards software is an asset.
- Ability to prioritize daily workload.
- Self-motivated detail orientated exceptional organizational skills and extremely accurate.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
