DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: Position is seasonal starting in June and running through August dependent on show schedules.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise Wardrobe Crew and provide wardrobe support during 2 Barns Productions as well as load in and strike support for 1 Filene Center Production.
- Work with the Costume Shop Manager to provide support for Barns Productions including: loading costumes into the theatre organizing racks posting dressing lists daily check-ins and check-outs of costumes during tech and the run laundry costume maintenance including repairs as needed supporting assigned artists in presets and quick changes working with Stage Management to address any wardrobe needs for the production.
- Wardrobe Head will also supervise in strike laundering restoring any costumes as needed and restocking costumes.
- Filene Center support includes organizing costumes for load in and participating in any post-strike activity including laundry restoration and restocking.
QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of three years working in a professional or educational environment.
- Opera and/or Theatre experience.
- Must be able to work all technical rehearsals and performances. Some late nights and weekend work necessary.
