The Home
This is a 4-bed childrens residential home in Salford (M6) supporting young people aged 817 with EBD. The home provides a safe structured environment with a strong focus on consistency safeguarding and positive outcomes.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced Senior Residential Child Care Worker who can support the day-to-day running of shifts act as a positive role model and help drive high standards of care.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the team to deliver consistent trauma-informed and child-centred care
Leading shifts when required and ensuring routines plans and processes are followed
Mentoring and supporting colleagues including induction support for newer staff
Promoting safeguarding best practice and contributing to a safe home environment
Supporting care planning key working risk management and placement stability
Recording and reporting to a high standard to support outcomes and inspection readiness
Helping young people build independence confidence and emotional regulation skills
Requirements
Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce (essential)
Experience within Ofsted-registered childrens residential care
Confidence supporting colleagues and maintaining high practice standards
Strong communication judgement and organisational skills
A calm resilient approach and commitment to safeguarding

You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (this is not deemed equivalent).
Candidates with only HealthCare NHS CQC or Nursery Practitioner qualifications will not be considered.
