Job Summary

Description

We are Nashvilles original community - based hospital with 2 additional satellite clinics. Joint Commission accreditedNGHreadily accommodates a wide range of needs from emergency services and acute care to ancillary and ambulatory services. NGH continues to maintain its strong commitment to the healthcare needs of Nashville and Davidson County underserved while also providing care to all segments of the community

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive health assessments including patient histories physical examinations and diagnostic testing.
  • Treatment and Management: Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses develop treatment plans and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Preventative Care: Provide education on disease prevention lifestyle modifications and overall wellness.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians specialists and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective care.
  • Patient Education: Counsel patients and families on healthcare options treatment plans and follow-up care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and practice efficiency.
  • Community Engagement: Contribute to community health initiatives and patient outreach programs when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: TN State License and Certification as an FNP
  • Experience: Minimum 2 of years of experience as an FNP required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical and diagnostic abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • Dedication to patient-centered care and continuous learning.
  • Certifications: Current BLS/ACLS certification required.

Work Environment:

  • Outpatient clinic hospital or community health setting.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
