Job Summary
FINANCE OFFICE
Assistant Finance Officer (Treasury Section) ()
Responsibilities:
- Handle and co-ordinate with different departmental users on accounting payment requests reimbursements and budgetary control matters;
- Handle payment enquiries from staff students and suppliers;
- Assist the supervisors in preparing and reviewing the accounting and management reports of two PRC subsidiaries of the University and liaise with external auditors or consultants;
- Perform general accounting work and payment processing;
- Prepare analysis schedules and month-end and year-end reports;
- Assist the supervisors in testing and implementing system enhancements; and
- Perform ad hoc tasks and clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A recognised diploma or above and preferably in Accounting Business Finance or related disciplines with preferably one year of relevant work experience;
- Good analytical skills problem solving skills and PC application skills especially in Excel;
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua;
- Abilityto work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- A good team player mature and self-motivated; and
- Experience in handling PRC accounting matters will be an advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
