Job Summary

ThePrincipal Network Engineer will work closely with members of the team to maintain the integrity of Vistras internal network including customer-facing hosted and cloud environment. The successful candidate will serve as a visionary leader and technical expert driving the design implementation and optimization of next-generation networks.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

Lead the strategic design and architecture of large-scale network infrastructures.

Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of network engineers.

Drive research and development initiatives.

Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices.

Lead troubleshooting efforts of complex network issues.

Serve as a subject matter expert on network technologies.

Represent the company in industry forums.

Education Experience & Skill Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or related experience gained through college degree programs and or certifications in related field

10 years of experience in network engineering.

Expert-level knowledge of networking concepts protocols and technologies.

Extensive experience with network equipment from leading vendors.

Strong understanding of data center networking virtualization cloud technologies and emerging trends.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Relevant certifications preferred.

Key Metrics

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Keys focus areas include:

Firewalls (Palo Alto)
Zero Trust Network Security (Zscaler)
Networking (Aruba Cisco)
Cloud (AWS Azure)
