Job Description

  • Project Planning: Collaborating with project managers and engineers to develop project plans including timelines resource allocation and budgeting for civil works.

  • Coordination: Act as a liaison between different teams involved in the civil works such as engineers architects contractors and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Permitting and Compliance: Ensuring that all civil works adhere to relevant regulations building codes and safety standards. This includes obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

  • Resource Management: Managing resources such as equipment materials and labor to ensure they areallocatedefficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.

  • Quality Control: Overseeing the quality of civil works including inspections testing and compliance with specifications and standards. Addressing any issues or deviations promptly tomaintainproject quality.

  • Progress Monitoring:Monitoringthe progress of civil works activities tracking milestones andidentifyingpotential risks or delays. Implementing corrective measures as needed to keep the project on track.

  • Budget Management: Monitoring project expenses related to civil works and ensuring adherence to the budget.Identifyingcost-saving opportunities and managing change orders effectively.

  • Documentation and Reporting:Maintainingaccuraterecords of all civil works activities including contracts permits invoices and correspondence. Providing regular progress reports to stakeholders and management.

  • Risk Management:Identifyingpotential risks related to civil works and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project. This includes addressing safety hazards environmental concerns and unforeseen challenges.

  • Client Relations: Building andmaintainingpositive relationships with clients subcontractors and other stakeholders involved in the project. Addressing client concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the civil works progress.

  • Problem Solving: Resolving any issues or conflicts that ariseduring the course ofcivil works whether related to scheduling quality budget or other aspects of the project.

  • Continuous Improvement:Identifyingopportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency productivity and quality in civil works operations.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelors degree in engineering Construction Management or related field.

  • Proven experience in the construction industry or infrastructure projects.

  • Understanding of contract management principles procurement processes and cost control techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to negotiate effectively and build relationships.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers an annual base salary in the anticipated range of $98500$137800 CAD with compensation determined based on experience qualifications and internal equity.
