As a Locum Critical Care Physician you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to patients in critical condition collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to the continuity of care and support the healthcare team in managing complex medical cases effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical assessments and treatment for critically ill patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
- Conduct procedures as required in a critical care setting
- Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with a focus on Critical Care
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
- Experience in critical care medicine preferred
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
- Knowledge of current critical care protocols and practices
Schedule: 7a-7p
20-bed ICU
Procedures: Vents and ICU procedures
Support Staff: Day and night physician and APP
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & lodging
