Description
This contract position requires an on-site presence providing a unique opportunity to work closely with patients and contribute to their reproductive health in a supportive environment.
As a Locum MD you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to patients ensuring they receive the best possible support during their visits. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals in our practice to address patient needs and improve health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive obstetric and gynecological examinations
- Diagnose and treat a variety of womens health issues
- Provide prenatal intrapartum and postpartum care
- Perform surgical procedures as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active medical license in the state of Indiana
- Experience in a clinical setting preferably in Ob/Gyn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Schedule: 24-hour shifts
Daily Volume: 3 deliveries
Annual Deliveries: 2000
Facility: Level III NICU Level III Perinatal Center Level II Trauma Center
Support Staff: CNM on-call OB
Board-certification required
