Job Summary

Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and technology project timelines.
Source evaluate and onboard qualified suppliers and vendors for IT hardware software cloud services and technical support.
Conduct market research to identify cost-effective solutions and emerging technology trends.
Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure favorable terms quality and delivery timelines.
Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle from requisition to payment ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
Monitor supplier performance conduct regular reviews and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Collaborate with IT finance and operations teams to forecast needs and align procurement activities with project demands.
Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure transparency through digital procurement platforms.
Identify opportunities for process improvement automation and cost savings within the procurement function.
Ensure adherence to local Tanzanian procurement regulations and international best practices.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Procurement or a related field.
25 years of proven experience in procurement preferably within the technology IT or telecommunications sector.
Strong understanding of sourcing strategies contract negotiation and vendor management.
Proficiency in procurement software (e.g. SAP Ariba Coupa or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
High level of integrity attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Fluency in English and Swahili (written and verbal) is essential.
Experience working in a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment is a plus.
