Job Summary

The Senior IT Infrastructure & Asset Compliance Officer ensures our physical workspace is a high-performance engine for our clients. You are responsible for two critical pillars: Zero-Downtime Connectivity (ISP/Failover/Bandwidth) and Role-Based Asset Management (matching high-spec hardware to specific KPO functions). You ensure that while the client manages the cloud our local office provides the "last mile" of perfect execution.

Local Infrastructure & Connectivity

  • ISP & Redundancy Management: Own the relationship with our Internet Service Providers. Ensure that automated failover protocols (e.g. SD-WAN or Dual-WAN routers) are tested weekly and switch over seamlessly without dropping client sessions.

  • Bandwidth Optimization: Monitor real-time traffic to ensure critical KPO tasks (VOIP large data transfers VDI sessions) have priority over non-essential traffic.

  • Network Health: Maintain on-site firewalls switches and access points. Ensure the "local pipe" to the clients cloud is always clear and secure.

  • Power Redundancy: Oversee UPS and generator health to ensure that network gear stays live during local power fluctuations.

Role-Based Asset Provisioning

  • Hardware-to-Role Mapping: Define and maintain a "Specifications Matrix." You must assess whether a role (e.g. Data Analyst vs. Graphic Designer vs. Admin) requires high RAM dedicated GPUs or multi-monitor setups.

  • Performance Auditing: Regularly assess if existing equipment still meets the roles needs. Proactively recommend upgrades before hardware bottlenecks affect employee productivity.

  • Custom Imaging: Create standardized OS builds tailored to different roles ensuring each employee has the exact tools they needand nothing they dontupon day one.

Behavioral Compliance & Enforcement

  • Local Protocol Enforcement: Use technical controls (Conditional Access/MAC Filtering) to ensure only compliant company-issued hardware can touch the network.

  • Clean Desk & Physical Security: Enforce strict physical security protocols (e.g. no unauthorized USBs secure screen locking) to meet client-specific data privacy requirements.

  • Incident Post-Mortems: If a protocol is bypassed or a device is "shadowed" lead the investigation to prevent a repeat occurrence.

Hardware Asset Management (HAM)

  • Inventory Single Source of Truth: Maintain a 100% accurate record of every laptop monitor and peripheral tied to the specific employee and their physical desk location.

  • Lifecycle & Logistics: Manage the "Procure-to-Retire" cycle. Ensure that when an employee leaves the hardware is retrieved wiped and re-specced for the next hire.

  • Quarterly Audits: Conduct physical "floor-to-book" audits to ensure no equipment has moved or gone missing without authorization.
