Job Summary

Position: IBM DataStage Integration Support Engineer

Location: Culver City CA

Work Type: Onsite

Employment Type: Contract (C2C)

Visa requirement: All except H1B/OPT/CPT

Role Overview:

The IBM DataStage Integration Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise ETL and integration platforms. This role focuses on production support job scheduling system integrations and ensuring high availability of DataStage and related middleware environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and support IBM DataStage jobs in production environments
Analyze and resolve job failures on DataStage applications and Unix servers
Perform code migrations across environments
Create and manage users and role assignments
Coordinate with IBM Support for tool-related issues
Unlock DataStage jobs and sessions as required
Develop debug and maintain Shell scripts and Python programs
Manage and support Control-M scheduling
- Take corrective actions (kill force-complete hold jobs etc.)
- Configure SAP and Unix jobs
- Perform calendar updates and workload policy creation
- Install and upgrade Control-M agents
Configure and maintain PagerDuty alerts and integrations
Support Gentran integrations including maps mailboxes and FTP scripts
Analyze and troubleshoot custom Java programs
Configure and debug stored procedures in MS SQL Server

Mandatory Skills:

68 years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage
Strong experience with Unix/Linux environments
Proficiency in Shell scripting Cron jobs Relational databases
Working knowledge of Python programming
Experience with Control-M job scheduling and automation
Strong troubleshooting and production support skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced support environment

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Snowflake data platform
Additional hands-on exposure to advanced DataStage components
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise integration systems
